about the artists...

Roni Rotem 

was born in Israel. Roni won the Israeli Cultural minister Prize for choreographers in 2019. Graduating from Dror High School of the Arts, Roni continued her dance training at Danceworkshop Gaaton, working with Israeli choreographers: Ohad Naharin, Rami Beer & Idan Sharabi among others. Upon completing her studies, Roni joined the Jerusalem Dance Theater dance company. Roni earned her BA in Education and Dance from the Kibbutzim College, While danced as a member of the Shlomi Bitton Dance Group. As a choreographer, Roni created the duet "Half" which selected to Suzanne Dellal Center’s Shades of Dance Choreography Competition and International Exposure 2016. "Half" went on to win 1st prize in the 2016 I Believe Dance Competition in Israel. The work toured Spain, performing at the Agitart Festival in Figueres and festivals around Israel. In 2018, she created the trio "Men To Be", which premiered as part of the Blender Series at Bascula and went on to be presented in the Tel Aviv Dance Festival, International Exposure, 10 Sentidos dance Festival in Valencia, Spain (May 2019), Berlin Festival 2019 and more. Roni's 3rd work, CANDYLAND was created in a residency at Lake Studios Berlin In October 2018. Candyland's Israeli premiere at Suzanne Dellal center and continued to tour in Israel and Europe. Roni will premiere her new work "Welcome to Virtual Humans" in March 2020, following a month-long residency in Paul studios. As a dance teacher, she is holding contemporary classes and masterclasses in Tel Aviv, Kibbutz contemporary dance company summer intensive, and the several studios in Berlin such as: Tanzfabrik, Papillon Tanz, Motions Tanz. | www.ronirotemdance.com

 

Angela Fegers

a Florida native, Angela Fegers, received her formative training from New World School of the Arts in Miami, Florida. Fegers danced professionally in New York City with GREYZONEDance (Lindy Fines) and Danceable Projects (Erick Montes) while interning with the Graham Company, before relocating to Europe in August 2016. She now uses Berlin as her base where she works as a freelance performer, choreographer and teacher. She has premiered works in Iceland, the Netherlands, in collaboration with Monica Sharon, Portugal, Hungary, Germany and the USA. In 2020, Angela will set her first piece on Danceworks Ausbildung training program. Her and Laura Guy have collaborated on two pieces together and have been working together over the course of the last year and a half.  | http://www.angelafegers.com

 

Dean Frechtman

born in Israel in 1993 in kibbutz Negba. Dean is a Berlin based musician crating his first dance piece along with the amazing dancer Layla Palmer.
