THREE STORIES OF MADRID
ESIMPRO Berlin - 1781 Collective
Theater
“Dali, Lorca, Buñuel come to Berlin.”
‘Three Stories of Madrid’ - a theatrical concert experience first premiered in 2019 in Madrid, Spain, by the 1781 Collective is finally coming to Berlin. A staged surrealistic storytelling experience, ‘Three Stories’ explores the tales of three of Spain’s most celebrated artists: Salvador Dali, Federico Garcia Lorca, and Luis Bunuel - and their deep friendship during the 1920s when they were all studying at the Residences de Estudiantes. Equal parts magical and tragical, the performance will feature a new script by Berlin-based EsImpro Director Gonzalo Piñán, with Spanish classical music performances by the 1781 Collective (the Creative Team behind LABYRINTH: Cabinet of Curiosities), accompanying a backdrop of the trios most famous artworks.
