Von den drei eigenständigen Solo -Tanzperformances sind FREE und Hommage PINA Wiederaufnahmen aus dem Jahr 2016. FREE entstand anlässlich des Weltfrauentages und Hommage PINA zur Vernissage der Ausstellung "PINA BAUSCH und das Tanztheater" im Martin-Gropius-Bau am 15. September. Das Performing Arts Festival ist die Premiere von Diaboli. FREE ist in seiner assoziativen Kürze (7min) zugleich Statement und die Frage nach Freiheit. Hommage PINA versinnbildlicht den kreativen, assimilierenden, künstlerischen „Geist“ der Choreografin Pina Bausch und ist vom Butoh-Tanz inspiriert. Diaboli ist ein tänzerisches Spiel.
Irina Kowallik begann ihre künstlerische Arbeit mit zeitgenössischer Mime/Pantomime um diese vielfältig in Richtung Tanztheater zu erweitern. Ausgebildet in Maskenspiel, zeitgenössischer Mime und Körpertheater spielte sie hauptsächlich auf Bühnen der freien Theaterszene Berlins. Sie ist seit 1992 auch Theaterpädagogin und ergänzte ihre Bühnenerfahrungen mit dem Studium der Theaterwissenschaft/Kulturwissenschaft (1995-2001), dessen Abschluss Magisterarbeit über die Arbeitsweise der Choreografin Pina Bausch mit dem Tanztheater Wuppertal bildete. 2003/2004 erarbeitete sie die Soloproduktionen KEIN ZURÜCK und NOCTILUCA. Nach weiteren Jahren als Darstellerin und Regisseurin produzierte sie 2016 ihr drittes Solo: OPHELIA-Triptychon.

Of the three independent solo dance performances, FREE and Hommage PINA are revivals from 2016: Hommage PINA created for the opening of the exhibition "PINA BAUSCH und das Tanztheater" at the Martin-Gropius-Bau on September 15 and FREE on the occasion of World Women's Day. The Performing Arts Festival is the premiere of Diaboli. FREE in its associative brevity (7min) is both a statement and the question of freedom. Hommage PINA symbolizes the creative, assimilating, artistic "spirit" of choreographer Pina Bausch and is inspired by Butoh dance. Diaboli is a dance game.
Irina Kowallik began her artistic work with contemporary mime/pantomime in order to expand it in the direction of dance theatre. Trained in masque, contemporary mime and body theatre, she played mainly on stages of Berlin's independent theatre scene. She has also been a theatre pedagogue since 1992 and supplemented her stage experience with her studies in theatre science/cultural studies (1995-2001), the degree of which was a master's thesis on the working methods of choreographer Pina Bausch with Tanztheater Wuppertal. 2003/2004 she created the solo productions KEIN ZURÜCK and NOCTILUCA. After further years as an actress and director, she produced her third solo in 2016: OPHELIA-Triptychon.
