Artaud, le Mômo ist ein multimediales Tanztheater Solo von und mit Maura Baiocchi und Taanteatro Companhia über Leben und Werk des französischen Dichters und Theatertheoretikers Antonin Artaud (1896 - 1947). Auf der Grundlage der Schriften Histoire Vecue d’Artaud Le Momo und Artaud, le Mômo (1946) überträgt Maura Baiocchi spezifische Dimensionen der Artaudschen Produktion – die Krisen des Geistes, der Kultur und der Sprache – auf den Körper und sein singuläres Tanz-Werden.
Den roten Faden der Dramaturgie bildet “das Problem authentischer Freiheit”, welches im Werk Artauds untrennbar mit der Erschaffung des Körpers ohne Organe und dem Kampf gegen die Institutionalisierung von Lebensformen verbunden ist. Die akribische Inszenierung verbindet einen stimmungsvollen Soundtrack mit surrealistischen Bilderwelten und lädt das Publikum zu einer intensiven Erfahrung des luzid-halluzinatorischen Universums des Schöpfers des Theaters der Grausamkeit ein.
Das gestalterische Team der Inszenierung besteht aus Künstlern aus Brasilien, Deutschland und Argentinien. Artaud, le Mômo wurde durch das Städtischen Programm zur Förderung des Tanzes in São Paulo finanziert.

Artaud, Le Mômo is a dance-theatre multi-media monologue by Maura Baiocchi and Taanteatro Companhia about the life and work of the french poet and homme de théâtre Antonin Artaud (1896 - 1947). The guiding line of the dramaturgy is "the problem of authentic freedom." The performance presents the struggle of Artaud against the institutionalization of life forms and his attempt to conquer a sovereign body.
The meticulous production, combining a vigorous soundtrack and a hallucinatory mapping of projections, invite the audience to intensely experience the playful-hallucinatory universe of the creator of the theater of cruelty. The work was financed by the Municipal Program for Dance in the City of São Paulo.
Artaud, le Mômo premiered in August 2016 in São Paulo at Teatro Alliance Française on the occasion of the 120th anniversary of Antonin Artaud. In France, in October of the same year, the play made its debut at in Chapelle Paraire, a remnant building of the Rodez asylum where Artaud remained hospitalized from 1943 to 1946. In Paris the work was received with outstanding critical success at Théâtre de Nesle and with enthusiastic response in Germany and Argentina. In 2017 further shows are scheduled at Theaterhaus Berlin Mitte and Théâtre de Nesle/Paris.
