„Ein Leben vernichten um viele Leben vor Verfall und Ruin zu retten. Wirst Du selbst die Alte töten? Ja oder Nein? “
Der japanische Regisseur und Butoh-Künstler Hikaru Inagawa und die Butoh-Künstlerin Maco präsentieren mit ihrer Theater-Butoh-Gruppe 4RUDE die Weltpremiere ihrer Theater-Butoh-Performance „Schuld und Sühne", basierend auf dem berühmten Roman des russischen Autors Fjodor Dostojewski. 4RUDE entwickelte 2005 eine gleichnamige Theater-Trilogie und führte diese in Tokio auf. 2016 - 2017 führten sie ein Theater-Butoh-Experiment in Form eines dreiteiligen Workshops in Berlin durch, das auf diesem Roman basiert. Nun wird 4RUDE eine völlige Neubearbeitung des Buches in Form eines Theater-Butoh-Stücks präsentieren.

“If killing one life could rescue thousands from decay and ruin, would you kill the old woman yourself or not?”
Japanese director / Butoh artist Hikaru Inagawa, Butoh artist Maco, and their Theater-Butoh company 4RUDE will present a Theater-Butoh piece that is based on Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky's "Crime and Punishment", with world premiere in January 2018. 4RUDE has developed and performed a trilogy piece based on the novel in Tokyo in 2005-2007, the trilogy was approached from theatrical side to the literature; later they held a 3-step workshop, followed by the Theater-Butoh experiment "Crime and Punishment" in Berlin in 2016-2017. They will now create a brand new show with a new adaptation of the revered novel, with the approach from Butoh side.
